PRAYER: A DIFFICULTY?

GODLY LIFE (VOLUME 1)

 COMMUNION WITH GOD (EPISODE 1)

Prayer: A Difficulty?

Well, maybe I should say I have at least little understanding of what you're passing through.
I've once been in that clutch,but believe me,it's a cheat on oneself,it's a bondage,
so many aches and yokes we bear, just because we refuse to take them to God in prayers.

Many see this great tool of a Christian - prayer,as a burden, because of their ignorance about what it is and what it is not,
many dogmas (not scriptural) about prayer has kept souls in slavery,
the picture many paints about prayer has made it hard for them to find interest in living this 'to be enjoyed' life of prayer.

A preacher once said that "prayer isn't a responsibility,but a relationship", oh!,how I love that clause.

It's a relationship with the Father,it isn't that hard task or the difficult exercise that you've taken it to be.

Do you find it difficult to speak with your love ones?,
I'm sure you can easily spend hours talking with that person you so much love, without taking caution of time.
So it is with speaking to God,that sweet communion,
it isn't a timing thing,
you commune as long as possible,
you speak - He responds,
He speaks - you respond,
you pour out your heart - He tells you his plan,
oh!,that sweet hour of prayer!.

Who's that person teaching you how to pray sef?,
who's telling you you must jump, shout, speak in tongues before you can be sure that you're praying in spirit
(mbanu,darriz not it oo).
Who tells you that God won't answer your prayers when you kindof sit down, rest your back, place your bible on your chest and looking up to heaven, you gave a deep sigh, you beautifully worship God,and after,
you're like "God,it is you I have come to meet oo, I'm very sure you're aware of everything going on in my life, but yet I'll enquire of you,it is about my academics/marriage/business oo,
Daddy,I am getting confused already, and I know you are not the author of confusion,
your word says I should acknowledge you in all my ways, and that you'll direct my paths,
miracle Worker,I have come for direction Sir..."
(and on and on you speak with the sense that you're talking to a God that hears and has power to do,
you don't necessarily need to shout,
no 'a must take' position,
though you shouldn't allow a too convenient/relaxed position, lest you sleep off).

You remind God of His word (one of the best spice in praying),
you make him know of your faith in him.

Stop taking prayer as if it's a kindof burden,
you're conversing with the King of kings, yet remember he is your Daddy,
he is always ready to hear!.

Of cause I'm not ruling out the standing fact that one groans in prayer,
there are times you do
(it is not you that instigate this anyway, just that you submit yourself to God).

You groan mostly during intercessory prayers,
that is,when knocking the door of heaven on behalf of someone or some people.

It could be that you're praying for their salvation, restoration or deliverance.

Groans come as a result of the Holy Spirit given you deep understanding about who or what you're praying about,
when the Holy Spirit helps your infirmity and teaches you what you should pray for as you ought, and takes over the intercession.

You may groan with understanding,
I mean in the tongues of men
(things like crying out "o Lord!,God!,mercy!...
at umpteen time with deep conviction),
or you groan in tongues,
I mean speaking in the tongues of heaven
(all these you do as the Spirit himself gives utterance).

Intercessory prayers most times leads to warfare.
After having the understanding of the foundation or source of the force opposing who or what you're praying for,
there may be need to go into warfare prayers, and this may involve making some moves and demonstrations
(like stomping of feet on the ground,
clapping of hands,
literally making a cancellation sign while praying,
literally making uprooting demonstration, and so on),
all these you do by faith as the Spirit leads.

Praying is the sweetest thing you can ever do,because talking to God,your creator, the King of kings and He responding to you by His Spirit is the best experience you can ever have.

Having a speculated time for prayer isn't something bad,
but being rigid and limited to just that time is worst and of cause satan could take advantage of that.

You pray all the time and everywhere,
when there's need to pray, you do
Talking to your Father shouldn't be limited to just a particular time of the day,
ones you have something to tell him,you go on.

I'm surprise to hear some folks say there are some places where you shouldn't pray to God
(example of which they say is toilet),
that can't be true.
Cleanliness is next to godliness - that's true,
you endeavour to clean your environment,
but when there's need to commune with Daddy when in a "stinking" environment, you do!,
that is not in anyway an hindrance to the answer of your prayer.

Prophet Jonah prayed unto God,out of the fish's belly
(he even called it "the belly of hell"... Jonah 2vs2),and yet the Lord heard and answered him.

It will be so bad of anyone to postpone praying to God because of where he is or what time it is.

Nehemiah needed to make a request before Artaxerxes the king at a particular time,
right there,
so quick,
without the king awareness,
he made prayers unto God of heaven for wisdom,
and immediately,
without delaying the king,
he made a wise request as inspired by God...Nehemiah 2vs1-8.

Prayer isn't a kindof straight jacket thing,
we know how to pray by praying,
it is interesting,
it isn't burdensome,
try it today,
right now,
right there,
and you'll enjoy the sweet communion.

Nota Bene: The prayer of the wicked (sinner) is an abomination before God.
Make sure you surrender your life to Jesus first,
by confessing your sins and asking him to wash you clean by his blood,
then forsake those sins and never go back to them,
after this,go on and enjoy the Father to child relationship with God - your Creator.

He's waiting at the door - knocking, yield the Saviour's call today!.
